In honor of the much anticipated New Moon premier, today’s post will help bring out your inner vampire. From different textures of black on black, to pale nude lips and deep sunken eyes, who better to look to for blood thirsty fashion than Marc Jacobs? His Ready to Wear Fall 2009 line is the epitome of deadly cool style.

Lace is making a comeback this season. Update this look by wearing it in small appliques, as leggings, or tights. Too much and you'll look like Ms. Havisham.

To wear black on black successfully, make sure to play up different textures, shades (yes, there are different shades of black), and shapes as seen here.

A hint of glitter takes this dark look to new levels. I love the juxtaposition of smooth satin against tough, armor-like details.
Next, we turn for makeup inspiration to Versace’s Fall 2009 runway, which featured smoldering eyes and blood drained lips to die for. Style.com gives us the how-to on recreating this look:

“…McGrath first lined the lashes with CoverGirl Perfect Blend Pencil in Basic Black. Next, she blended a shimmery black shadow (the black shade from the CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Eyeshadow in Vibrant Browns) on the top and bottom lids. She followed that up with a dusting of shimmery blue shadow (from CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Eyeshadow in Radiant Blues) on the inner corners of the lower lids, and finished with several coats of black mascara on both top and bottom lashes. McGrath erased the natural lip color with conealer and layered CoverGirl Wetslicks Lipgloss in Clear Radiance over top…” (Style.com)
Slick back your hair into a severe bun, or let it flow long and natural to complete this vampy look. Enjoy!
