Don’t get me wrong, I love my unique pieces and my “dress up” clothes. But there is something about a laid back yet chic outfit that is just so endearing to me. With all of the fashion bloggers out there turning to denim and chambray, I thought I’d pull out my old cropped American Eagle jacket. I’m still not on board with the whole mixing denim looks, but I do love me a good piece of denim outerwear. Out popped some of my hipster tendencies that I try to keep locked up as much as possible, but despite that I do like this outfit as an easy weekday look! Check it out:

DIY lace headband, American Eagle denim jacket (old), Urban Outfitter's textured leggings and butterfly printed tank, De Blossom Collection sandals

Update your jewelry: I took an ear cuff that I didn't particularly love and made it into a necklace pendant!
What are your go to pieces for an everyday look? How do you feel about the denim on denim rage? Let me know!

Love the outfit! I’m not exactly excited about the denim-on-denim look either but I think you pull this look off well!

I love the look, those shoes are soo great!
I wouldn’t yet do the texas tuxedo ;] but sometimes I do see pictures of it done well. My favorite basics are a tee, cardigan, jeans and cute shoes. Basic basics

I have to agree that Denim isn’t going anywhere and the way you put it together is simple but fashionable as well. I have a pet-peeve and it is Denim on Denim I always yell at my mom when she does it cause I truly hate it!! But to each his own i’m just not a fan.

I haven’t tried the denim-on-denim thing yet. Heck, I just got a pair of jeggings the other day, and it’s already too hot to wear ‘em! I’m a little slow with things like that. Anyways, the one look I’m really loving right now is chambray. I want a nice, light, form-fitting chambray shirt to wear during the summer but I haven’t find one cheap enough yet. I have a denim halter dress from the Gap that I have been wearing instead.
