The rest of this week is devoted to helping you prep your home and body for the Thanksgiving holiday! I will share outfit suggestions that’ll make you look great, tips on how to decorate for that perfect Thanksgiving party, and ideas on what to do with all those leftovers. Today I am turning to none other but the lovely Martha Stewart for centerpiece ideas for Thanksgiving dinner. These are my top three favorites that she has shared:

This simple centerpiece focuses on finding produce in every hue of orange imaginable. Here Martha pairs pumpkins, bell peppers, and kumquats together in a white ceramic bowl that evokes both a minimalist and a traditional harvest aesthetic that is easy to achieve. Try also oranges, tangerines and sweet potatoes as well. Just make sure no one tries to eat it!

Sticking with the pumpkin theme, Martha has carved out a white pumpkin and filled it with roses, daffodils, tulips and berries in various colors of orange, yellow, and peach. For a long table, try this method with smaller pumpkins for multiple centerpieces.

This last example is the centerpiece I will be attempting for my Thanksgiving dinner. This year will be Jony and my first year hosting Thanksgiving at our place, and I am a bit nervous! Luckily the mothers will be doing most of the cooking, but decorations are all up to me. I love this idea because of it’s simplistic beauty. Martha takes small white pumpkins and carves out their center to provide dainty candle holders. She places tall white tapers in the holders, which are then placed on upside down plates covered with beautiful red and orange fall leaves. Because we will be having both families over, we will have to place two tables together. Martha shows how to hide a table seam by placing a runner between the two tables, adding texture and elegance.
Try your hand at one of these centerpieces and make it your own. I would love to see what your Thanksgiving table looks like, so comment this post with a link!

Hey everybody, it’s Thanksgiving Day! I’m happy with my extra day off, and I am planning to doing something fun that will probably involve a moto trip and seeing something new in Hurricane I haven’t seen yet.
You write something new at Thanksgiving?
