This last Thursday I left for Portland for the first time. Although I didn’t get to see much of the city, I have to say what I did see was lovely. We were more on the outskirts and suburbs, and I loved the way the town was nestled into hills and evergreens. As predicted it did rain a bit, but all the greenery was worth it. We stayed overnight in Washington, so I can finally officially say I’ve seen all of the west coast (it’s sad, I’ve lived in California my whole life but have never gone further north than Mt. Shasta until now).
The reason for our trip was to attend Gen Unleashed – basically a conference where different pastors give workshops and messages about Christianity. It was pretty huge (over 4,000 people). I have to say my favorite part of the conference was definitely the worship band. They were all extremely talented musicians, and the Asian half of me really enjoy watching their lead guitarist and drummer. Here’s a video Jony took of one of the songs they performed:
Ladies, if you are looking for single guys who are stylish, good looking and have some morals, even if you aren’t Christian, go to GU next year
. Hahaha just kidding…kind of.
That’s just a bit of what I was up to these past few days. Now it’s time to get focused again on this blog! By the way, I am thrilled to see the growth it’s been having lately. Thank you all for subscribing and leaving me comments, it’s been really fun and encouraging. Next week I will be doing another giftcard give away to show my appreciation, so keep an eye out for that!
For my next trip to Oregon/Washington, do you have any suggestions of what I should visit/explore? I’m not the most experienced traveler, so unless I have a guide I end up missing some amazing things.

If you go to WA in April, you HAVE to go to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Also, obviously you must visit the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it’s definitely interesting and fun if you’re into music at all.
I miss Seattle…Can you tell?

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers – when I was younger I wanted to own a Tulip farm. This looks amazing! I heard Seattle is spectacular, and the shopping there is the best. Great suggestions!
