Tuesday night my husband planned a wonderful mini retreat for us to the Lafayette Park Hotel! It’s a beautiful building that has both French and Italian influences, and a great spa treatment center. On Tuesday we went out for a steak dinner, checked in to the hotel, and spent most of our time relaxing in the hot tub and heated pool. It was great because no one else was outside, and they played relaxing classical music under the stars. The next day my husband booked a massage for him and a facial/eyebrow waxing for me. We ate room service breakfast and then headed over to the spa. It felt SO GOOD and both of us were totally relaxed afterwards. It was such a great way to celebrate and relax, especially since we both have some big projects we’ve been working on lately, and our last few trips have been work based. Here are some pictures of our hotel room, this was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in!
What did you do for Valentine’s Day? Time with a loved one, or a romantic movie night with the girls? Even if it’s not Valentine’s and even if it’s just you alone, I highly recommend taking a mini hotel stay vacation from time to time. There’s something about getting away from the house that is totally rejuvenating. Enjoy!

Oooh, swanky! I’ve always wanted to do room service. My fiance and I have decided that when we go on our honeymoon we will order room service, we are excited about it
For Valentine’s Day we checked into a local hotel and had a picnic in the hotel room (it was pouring rain all day long) with Thai Food. Definitely a great day.

It’s really fun! Growing up we never did it because my family is super frugal, but with Jony we get to do it every now and then. Mmmm, Thai food sounds excellent right now, that does sound like a great way to celebrate! Congrats on being engaged as well
