Ugh, I can’t believe I just minor-ly quoted the Osmonds. I blame the peppermint latte I’m sipping on for the sudden burst of peppiness. Anywho, yesterday I wore an outfit I’m quite proud of and wanted to show you all. What makes it so great to me is the subtle inclusion of 80s inspired shapes without looking too retro and costume-y. While 80s fashion is definitely back, the best way to wear it is by pairing it with modern cuts and pieces. Here I mixed it up with some moto-chicness to add interest and edge.

I paired together Forever 21’s rose printed peplum skirt, Urban Outfitter’s textured leggings over printed tights (it was insanely cold), moto-inspired jacket and scarf, and Steve Madden’s patent high heel pumps (my fav comfy go-to heel).
Underneath I wore American Apparel’s double U neck shirt. I love the option of showing off a little back, much more demure. Let me know what you think of the outfit and what other 80s inspired looks you love and rock!

I’m glad you guys enjoyed the outfit. I find the skirt flattering, especially for women who lack curvy hips.
