Yesterday Jaime tagged me to share the contents in my purse. The first reaction I had was horror. You see, my purse is one of the most disorganized, messy, overflowing with things-that-should-be-tossed bags you’ll meet. Part of the problem is that it is so ridiculously huge that I can literally fit my life into it and still have some spare room. But then I remembered! Recently I finally downsized to a smaller bag during my last vacation and haven’t gone back to the “big red” yet – therefore it really wouldn’t be cheating if I showed you my slightly less disheveled one, right?! So, drink it in people, drink it in:
It’s not the most glamorous collection, but it’s definitely practical! I always carry water with me (don’t worry, I clean and reuse them) and some snack. Sunglasses are a must, as well as chapstick (Nivea shown here), lip gloss (CO Bigelow’s tinted gloss), and a lipstick (Covergirl’s Parisian Pink). I also carry a necklace around in case I forgot to accessorize, lol. My Urban Outfitters bee wallet usually packs a few gift cards that I forget about and then rediscover to my great pleasure. And finally, I always have a mini bottle of painkillers, because you just never know.
Right now I’m using a fairly boring Liz Claiborne bag and am on the prowl for something new. I just haven’t been able to find that dream bag at a discount price yet. Any leads are welcomed!

maria you are a brave woman to brazenly display the contents of your bag. i especially like the painkillers and could use one right about now. is this day over yet??

The contents of my purse look pretty similar to yours. Wallet, sunglasses, lip balm, lip gloss, snack. I also always keep my little digital camera – because you just never know – pen, paper, and business cards.
Right now, I’m most often seen with my cheapy giraffe print bag. I love it. I’ve wanted a giraffe print bag for like 18 months, and then I finally got one. It feels so good to own that thing for which I yearned for so long!! Of course, now everyone has one. Oh well, still love it.

Hahaha, get it girl! I love finally getting that piece you’ve been coveting for so long. I’m glad your bag is as practical as mine – thats one place my glamour gene is missing lol! I should carry my camera around with me more though, good reminder!

I did a post like this not too long ago on my livejournal, lol. It often seems like we carry around reaaaaaally strange things in our purses! One time I found a belt I had forgotten about in my purse.
As weird as it may seem, I like seeing what other girls pack in their purses. It says something about them as a person
For instance, you are very practical because you carry a snack, water, medicine and even extra accessories!
I am currently carrying around a big, yellow hobo bag with twisted straps that my mom passed on to me.

I actually enjoy seeing it too! I’ve found many a lost items in my bag as well. It’s so true too, I am very practical lol!

What a great post! My purse is full of a bunch of random stuff such as a McDonald’s toy, chopsticks, lipgloss, nail polish, and who knows what else
