Yesterday marked the first day of summer and I’m SO ready for it! Unfortunately summer no longer marks lazy days and no responsibilities, but I can’t help but feel a little lighter, a little more relaxed. My outfit today reflects the ease of a warm, sunny afternoon – I plan on “romping” around a lot this season (for a difficult piece to wear, it sure is comfortable! I guess I just wont use the restroom when I’m wearing it…:P).

Max Azria/Mylie Cyrus romper, Urban Outfitters boyfriend cardigan, DIY necklace (listed on my etsy!), Target workboots
I love the shoulder ties on this romper – it makes it feel just a touch more “rustic”. The pattern is just too fun as well.
I haven’t worn these boots all year. They used to be my favorite pair when I tromped around Berkeley, but were sent to the back of the closet as of lately. I still love them (no matter what my friend Stuart says!), but I tend not to wear them too much with shorts and skirts because I think they make my legs look a little stubby. In this case, though, the romper is pretty short, so they balance each other out a bit. Have a wonderful Tuesday loves!
Are you a fan of the romper, or does it just make you scratch your head? How do you wear it? Let me know!

I’m not a huge fan of the romper in general – mostly because it’s mis-worn by almost everyone who wears one.
You’ve done it right.
Why is it so great on you?
1. The fit! It’s not so skimpy that I wouldn’t dare wear it out of the bedroom, and it’s fitted around the midsection. The straps are substantial enough that one can wear a bra underneath, as well.
2. The pattern. I love it, and it helps to elongate the body.
Rock it with that cardigan. Looks great!
Love,
CarolAnn

Thank you for your kind words, I’m happy you enjoyed the way I put it together. Totally agree with the points you made – there are definitely a substantial amount of bad rompers out there!

I’m having combat boot envy! I’ve been looking for the perfect pair for a while now. Those Target ones are cute.
I haven’t jumped on the romper trend yet. I tried one on but it was very baggy and strange looking. Plus I’m worried about the bathroom problems, lol.

Girl, I feel you. I got these last year after looking around forever (I’m sorry, but there is no way I’m going to pay for Doc Martens full price, those suckers are EXPENSIVE). These were only $20!

I love this look! The colors are fantastic, if that’s Max Azria/Miley Cyrus, is that from Walmart?? I want one!! I love rompers and wear them shamelessly–I don’t care what anybody else thinks!
