To start off the new year strong, I’ve given Bachman’s Sparrow a whole new look! A better layout, added features, and more user friendly applications were called for, and I’m excited with how the progress has come along. Today I wanted to take some time to show you all the changes that have taken place:
First of all you’ll notice my new post layout. I love it because it only shows a preview instead of the whole post, making navigating the page a lot cleaner. Now all I need is an amazing banner and I’ll be happy (anyone interested in making me one??!).
You’ll also see my flikr (a picture hosting site) photostream and twitter updates on the right hand side of my page. Now you can see more of my personal updated statuses and pictures without having to travel to these sites.

On the actual posts themselves you’ll notice I have a lot more room to write. Now you can read the text without squinting the whole time, yay! Also my favorite new feature is the comments; you can now request to receive emails of comments following one’s you left on the post instead of having to return to the site to search it out yourself. Also, I can now reply directly to your comment instead of having to bulk reply several comments below!
Now all that’s left is redoing my categories so it’s easier to find past posts, and getting a nice banner. How do you like my changes? Is your experience at Bachman’s Sparrow improved? Is there anything else you’d like to see me change? Let me know!

I actually like your bannerless layout… I think it’s cleaner that way… But if you have a general idea I can work on one for you…

Hmm, in that case I might leave it plain for now. I do want to get a logo made soon though. I’m thinking some pretty image of a bird, along those lines.
