Halloween 2009!!

Ahh, the first holiday of the fall/winter season is here! Today I will show you what I’ve been working on for the past two days, and the final product that I’ll be wearing tonight!

It all began with some felt. My friend and I stopped by our local Joann’s Fabrics to pick some up. Unfortunately we picked the busiest time and had to sit through 20 fabric cuttings before our turn. $16 later this is what I left with:

I then cut out two long strips of red and pink felt, put them in some hot, soapy water, and proceeded to pull and pull and pull until they took on a rippled effect.

I sewed the two pieces together like so:

Then I took the green felt and cut out two ovals and four strips. I sewed the strips on and painted lines on the ovals.

Today I went and bought some shimmery makeup, green napkins, and mailing tape (I wanted green Saran wrap but they didn’t have it, so I had to get innovative). After playing around with the napkins I nixed the idea and decided just to wear whatever green I could find.

After my shower I pinned my hair up into pincurls:
