No, I’m not talking about the World Cup (although it appears everyone on Facebook and Twitter are). I’m talking about my thrift store scores from a few days ago! While it certainly has been interesting experiencing the soccer (excuse me, futbol) craze, learning about countries I have never heard of before, and rooting on the USA and Japan, making incredible thrift finds are what really does it for me.
Lately I’ve been noticing a lack of beyond basic tops in my closet. Apparently I’ve been purchasing everything BUT shirts, so I made it a mission to seek out some pretty ones on my latest thrifting adventure. I think I really came out on “top”. Check it out:
I didn’t realize until later that I was mostly drawn to pinks and reds on this spree. I think it has to do with the fact that I rarely wear these colors as it is – I’m usually drawn to yellows, greens, and purples. It felt good to push away from my comfort zone and try something new.
I also was blown away by the fact that I bought five designer tops, and only spent $150 total. While that’s still $30 per shirt, that’s an AMAZING deal for high end pieces. So there you have it ladies, you don’t have to forgo your designer taste to be budget friendly! (And not to mention totally on key with green living as well).
Stay tuned to see how I put together outfits around these pretty pieces!
What has been your favorite thrift find? Are you comfortable with wearing second hand pieces? Let me know!

DUDE!!!! major score! Those tops are so pretty and colorful, you really made out well! I have a confession… Just about every item I own is a handmedown or thrifted. Or a serious sale lol. Even my furniture is! I talk myself out of buying things past a certain price lol. Thats what sewing machines are for! Congrats on the awesome finds!!=)

Love the kimono-influenced top! I guess you’re like me because I had the same goal in mind on my last thrift store trip. I didn’t have any luck, though. I’m sure I’ll find something next time.

Not gonna disclose where you went, huh?
I LOVE secondhand clothes, love the hunt and the thrill of secondhand shopping. Those were some great deals for those labels!
