When your natural color palate is a bit monotone like myself (especially now that I am back to brunette), adding some pigment to your skin with blush makes a world of difference. It has the effect of lighting up your entire complexion, and gives you that sexy “I live life to the fullest so I’m always just out of breath” appearance.
What I love about blush, too, is that each shade says something different about you. Light, rosy colors whisper “I’m sophisticated, demure, if not a bit shy.” Medium, peachy shades declare romance with a hint of the exotic. And bold, vibrant hues cry “watch out, I’m on a mission!” Of all the various blushes I have own, my favorite thus far is Hot Mama! by theBalm.
It’s a peachy-pink shade with gold highlights that really brighten up one’s face. I love the sun-kissed look I get instantly when I put it on.
Another major plus in my book is theBalm is based in San Francisco, and works with high quality ingredients. They have a fairly low rating on Cosmetic Database, and I have never had issues of breaking out like other blushes will sometimes caused.
