I love using the different applications on my iGoogle home (my theme is City Scape, what’s your’s?). I can keep up with the news, weather, fashion all on one page. One of my absolute favorite add-ons is the ArtistADay. Each day they highlight a different artist (mostly current) in all types of mediums. I’m really impressed by all of the talent that is out there. One person that especially stood out to me was Naoko Ito, a Japanese artist currently attending the School of Visual Arts in New York. What strikes me about her art is the use of natural and synthetic parts to create “urban nature.” It’s simply beautiful, and can really only be described by showing you. Check it out:
What do you think of Naoko’s art? What is your favorite medium to view or work with? Let me know!

I would love to have a garden where I could place some of her waterfall like pieces – It kind of reminds me of Harriet the Spy

Beautiful artwork! I love the tree one in the glasses. I’m a photography major, so that’s my favorite medium to work with
But, I also like painting and doing video art.
