California is finally entering cold weather territory, which got me thinking about the ultimate clothing item to splurge on: coats! The best thing about coats in the wintertime is you could have on a horrific outfit all day but no one would know because your amazingly chic outerwear is covering it up. The same coat can be worn day after day, just accessorized slightly differently with hats, scarves, gloves, pants, skirts, etc. The following are some of this season’s coat trends that I adore:

What’s so great about these coats is they all give definition and structure to the body shape. There is a play on masculine and feminine lines, nipping and tucking where it’s needing while still emphasizing one’s curves. Enjoy!
