California is back to overcast, gloomy weather, but luckily this time it’s only for a few days. Then we spike up to 90 degrees, and finally welcome in summer! To get me by the next few days, I’ve piled on the color. Yellow is such a happy color, and I absolutely love this hue H&M chose for their shirt dress – a hint of lime green and shine just add to the elegance factor. Paired with one of my most cheerful DIY fabric necklaces, nude heels, and brightly colored nail polish it is the perfect antidote to a cloudy sky.

This summer I will be mooooving! So no long expensive trips for me, but I have a few fun weekend road trips and such in the works. During the work week my wardrobe isn’t affected much because I’m in A/C all day. But during the weekend it’s anything breezy and breathable!

Gorgeous outfit!
Summer in Delaware is about 85-90 degrees and 95%humidity, so it’s really important to wear cotton and other breathable fabrics. Summer days usually call for a flowy skirt and cotton t-shirt.

It was nice for a weekend here, then rainy the past few days… but starting tomorrow the forecast calls for at least 10 days of sun! Hopefully this is finally it & it’s summer for real. Y’all in California are spoiled.
Weather definitely affects what I wear. While fall fashion is notoriously more fun, it’s also more excessive for lounging around the house. I find that warm-weather attire better lends itself to both working at home ~and~ running errands, making getting dressed up more fun. Summer also just has that anything-can-happen vibe.
You seem to always be in heels. Do you run around in those all the time?

Hahaha, normally yes, but we’ve been overcast and rainy too! You can have it back! It’s so true, I love feeling comfortable in my own skin with warm weather wear. I wear heels a bit (I’m 5′3 so I do what I can lol), but lately it seems to be getting harder to convince my body to consent to the torture.

I live in Florida so it’s been summer here since March or April
In the summer when I want to look cute I’ll just pull on a dress and sandals and leave it at that. If I’m feeling lazy it’ll be cut-off shorts and a tee.
