I remember years ago I was walking around my apartment looking a bit scruffy and my roommate aptly labeling me as “hobo-chic”. With this outfit I originally was going for something safari-like (a hot yummy trend I’m loving), but I quickly reverted to my roots and produced a more eclectic look. One part wonderer with one part expeditioner, mixed not shaken. That seems to be the case with most of my looks – I can’t stick to one style. I guess figuring out how to mesh different genres cohesively is pure fun for me!

As of lately, I tend to wear a lot of skirts and dresses; girly, frilly pieces. It feels great wearing a more menswear inspired outfit – my handmade bow tie pin makes me smile, and I’m definitely digging structured button downs right now. I keep it feminine with soft curls, a glam bracelet and oxford heels.

I too have become attracted to structured button downs. You have put together a very stylish outfit and although I love the whole, I especially feel the bow tie gives it added dimension and creativity. Great inspiration!
