What I love about Tweet is Clare’s highlights of designers and artists that I otherwise may never have heard of. Her taste is impeccable, and I have yet to be disappointed by her choices. Yet another blogger from the other side of the world (love making these connections, I need to start travelling more soon!), check out today’s interview and get to know the girl behind Tweet:

Clare from Tweet

MV: Alright, here we go! Tell us a bit about yourself! How old are you, where are you from, favorite band, food, and pass time?

T: I’m 21 and live in a little town in Cheshire called Nantwich which is famous for salt and pubs… My favourite band changes pretty much every day but today we’ll go for Johnny Flynn as he’s perfect for summer.

My favourite food is probably paella with a lovely glass of wine, I could seriously eat it every day and not get bored. I pass my time by reading millions of blogs, writing for various people, spending time with my family and friends, watching films and pillaging charity shops.

What a beauty!

MV: Mmmm paella! Now I’m craving it…So, when did you start blogging, and why?

T: Well, the difference between starting my blog and starting to blog is very different… I signed up to blogger about 3 years ago to go along with jewelry I was making at the time all based around birds, hence the name ‘Tweet’… I posted a few doodles and things that I’d made but, because of Uni and various internships, I neglected it to epic proportions. I decided to start blogging properly a few months ago and have never looked back! I’ve always read blogs, I remember when I discovered Style Bubble when I was in high school and spent hours going through her DIY posts that I’d missed, that was quite a long time ago now…

MV: What can people expect to find at your blog? What do you tend to focus on?

T: I tend to focus on new and exciting talent in the creative industry, usually fashion designers, photographers, stylists and makeup artists. I always like to use the best images I can find, I’m not a fan of pixelation, and they will be paired with my ramblings explaining why I like them, simple really!

MV: This is a question I’ve been dying to ask bloggers – would you say your online personality differs at all from your “real world” personality? Do you feel you can be yourself more online, vice versa, or are you pretty much the same?

This picture is amazing on so many levels, lol!

T: I’d say I’m pretty much exactly the same, apart from I’m very much sillier in real life and use fewer adjectives… I also smile a lot more than in my outfit posts!

MV: Lol! I definitely get the smiling thing…Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

T: I honestly don’t know, either in Manchester or London doing something I love hopefully. It would be great to do something I love and actually get paid for it! I do quite fancy setting up my own magazine which I might have a go at for my final Uni project next year so watch this space!

MV: Finally, what is one tip you have for bloggers?

T: Be friendly and support your fellow bloggers! It’s always nice to have someone leave a nice comment but it’s not about racking up loads of comments, as long as you enjoy writing your blog then that’s all that matters.

As is this one...
