Aveda Men Pure-formance Line
It’s no secret that I am an Aveda believer. I’ve stocked up on most of their products, from hair styling to tea. So it’s no surprise that I got my husband into the Aveda craze. While he still supplements his pomade with the occasional drugstore gel, he sticks to Aveda Men Pure-formance Shampoo and Conditioner without falter. Not only does it smell great (the same amazing Aveda herbal smell, but a more manly, muskier version), it also really conditions, strengthens and smooths his semi-course, curly hair.

One of the main reasons this shampoo and conditioner is so good is that the ingredients used in it are the cream of the crop. Because men’s scalps tend to be both more oily and drier than women’s, they require more pure forms of ingredients (hence the name). These ingredients (such as spearmint and lavender) work to reduce scalp irritation and oiliness. My husband, who actually is very particular about his hair, highly recommends this product to any guy, and lets be honest fellas, women really are drawn to guys with good hair.
