Growing up, the girls in my family would use St. Ives Apricot scrub, both the body and face formulas. It has so much nostalgia for me – using it whenever pesky dry skin would show up, avoiding it when I’d get sunburns, making sure all of the sandy walnut pieces were well washed away before my dad complained about it clogging the drain (he was always paranoid about things clogging the pipes, yet he is the one who would flush paper towels down the toilet after drying his hands?!). I remember before school dances I’d soak in the tub and then attack my skin into submission with it, lol! It’s just one of those products that is tried and true and around forever, like cold cream and Vaseline.
Unfortunately, it has popped up on the radar to contain some not-too-healthy ingredients. While I personally will probably continue using it from time to time, I wanted to share with you all a great healthy alternative that I recently discovered: Lush’s Angels on Bare Skin exfoliating cleanser. Yup that’s right, another Lush product. I also received this sample with my mom’s Dream Cream (which I’ll be reviewing soon), and tried it out over the past week. I love the effects it’s had on my face: dry spots are gently scrubbed away with almond grounds, and rose and lavender leave my skin feeling soft and smooth.

Not the most appealing looking thing, but it works like a charm! Just look at it like cookie dough...
On top of that, the 100% vegan formula, a yummy, earthy scent (it has a kaolin clay base to cleanse), and a non-greasy finish has won me over. You can get 3.5 oz for $10.95 on their website, and since you only need to use a pinch, it’ll last you a long time. Try it out!
What’s your go-to skin exfoliating product? Are you a Lush fan yet? How do you keep your skin looking beautiful? Let me know!

Omigosh, I’ve used St. Ives scrub forever, but I also recently used Angels on Bare Skin and I love it! I also used their body bar- can’t remember what it’s called, some oatmeal thing. But I love Lush!

I totally remember Apricot Scrub! This product sounds really neat…I’m also in love with Queen Helene’s Honey and Oatmeal scrub…tiny tiny grounds that don’t ruin your skin. It’s super cheap and the honey leaves your skin feeling oh so soft.
