Featured Celeb: Kate Hudson

Every since I saw Kate Hudson in Almost Famous, I’ve been a fan. While her movies tend to be hit or misses, she’s performed in some of my all time favorite films (and for me to like a chick flick is nearly impossible). I missed seeing Nine in theaters, but from the previews and clips it looks amazing – I mean with that cast, it better be.

Kate not only is talented on the screen, but also has a lovely sense of style. Part all-American, part hipster chic with a topping of flower child, and you’ve got a pretty hot aesthetic. Today’s dress for less features one of my favorite Kate outfits:

I love this blazer + white jeans look – so classic. And the pop of red is perfect. Here’s how you can get the look:

forever 21 blazerForever 21 Last Defense blazer, $34.80; I like how fitted this blazer is, and how it has a slight sheen to it like Kate’s.

Urban Outfitters lace topUrban Outfitters pleated lace cami, $42.00; The softness of this top juxtaposes nicely with the menswear jacket. I love the flowy-ness of it versus the structured pieces as well.

charlotte russe white pantsCharlotte Russe white skinny jeans, $29.99; I have yet to get white jeans (fear of dirtiness I suppose), but the price of these makes me ready to invest in a pair!

red pointed toe pumpsChinese Laundry red patent leather pumps, $49.95; I am not usually a fan of such a pointed toe, but in this case it’s an excellent way to elongate the leg when worn with cropped pants.

What do you think of this look? Kate Hudson: love it or leave it? Let me know!
