I love featuring other stylish girls’ outfits. Not only does it take pressure off of me to dress well all the time (kidding!), it also gives a nice fresh perspective to observe. Today I am showing off Shauna E (@Meowsk), one of my twitter followers who also enjoys a great pair of brightly colored tights.

Shauna matches her pieces beautifully by pairing a print with similar hues of turquoise as her tights. Take note: because she frames her tights with neutral colored boots, a cardigan, and creamy colored dress, they are far from overwhelming. She adds touches of turquoise in her chunky jewelry, which really completes her outfit. I always appreciate people who can accessorize well; I see that as one of my weaknesses.

Although I love the tights, I think my favorite part of this outfit is her western styled boots. I wasn’t a fan for the longest time, but they are really growing on me. I love their diversity and ease. Enjoy!

I was wearing tights of that exact same color today! I would have never thought to pair them with something Western-inspired, though. It looks great. Whenever I wear bright tights I pair them with neutrals (black or grey, usually) so as to not have too many colors going on.

She’s cute, but that outfit is a bit frumpy for me. If I was going to do those tights, I’d wear with a t-shirt dress rather than that one, which looks grandma to me. If anything, that dress should be shorter than than jacket, especially considering she’s wearing it with tights.
I love the boots. I hate most country things, but I have a couple pair of thrifted cowboy boots that I adore. They look really laid back paired with a more urban outfit, and genuine ones are super comfy.

I both agree and disagree with your critique. I think that for the style she was attempting it looks pretty cute – very prairie-esque. I do agree that a shirt dress would look great though. Also I think on her body the proportions look good; personally I would go either shorter on the cardigan or like you said, shorter on the dress, but on her I think it works well. I think what makes me love this outfit the most though is the way she matches her pieces…Many times people stick to neutrals because color coordinating scares them, but this outfit shows how simple it can be.
I really think I need to invest in some cowboy boots now; do you have any pictures of outfits you put together with them for some inspiration?

Thank you all for your sweet comments I am very flattered! I agree that a shorter cardigan would have been better but sometimes you just have to work with what you have. How I wish I had an endless fashion budget. These cowgirl boots have been amazing I highly recommend finding a good pair.

I love those bright turquoise tights, they are such a beautiful color! I have my own pair from H&M. I love the Western boots too, I think they suit dresses perfectly. They are a little bohemian for girly-girls like me, but being eclectic is a good thing
