The other week I asked the amazing Jeanne from TheLovelyAesthetic (@lovelyaesthetic) to guest post on Bachman’s Sparrow. Her blog contains fashion news and cool finds, and I’m always inspired by the things she discovers. Check out her blog sometime, and in the meantime take a look at her hilarious post below!

Move over jegging, the pajama jean is about to revolutionize your world! The counter part to the jegging — or snuggie, tough call — has been circulating the internet and late night infomercial circuit recently and I can’t keep my eyes off of it. A good friend of mine, Will, shared this spectacle with me for insight on the latest fashion trends. I swear, I thought he was joking but reading the commentary on the website from Joe Zee and Rachael Ray and other stylist, I had to think “Is this really happening?”

Pajama Jeans - the next big thing?!

I’d like to think this was one big joke on the American population but a part of me could totally see Midwestern moms sporting these to the grocery store.  You can’t beat a tagline like that either, and at $39.95 this could be one of those awesome keepsakes you laugh about and give to your children one day.

Between the sweatpants trend and the pajama jean, I’m wondering if the saying “beauty is pain” is going out the door and we are ushering in a new era of fashion where comfort is welcomed and functionality praised.  The level of ridiculous has hit a new high but I’m curious to see if the pajama jean becomes to next Christmas wishlist topper or the next SNL skit…or probably both. To clarify, I will NOT be buying a pair but I welcome you to satiate your curiosity!

Thank you Jeanne for that eye opener! So what do you think guys, is this a piece you would purchase? Are you sick enough of your uncomfortable jeans to make the switch? Just a funny tidbit – last year a guy friend of mine said he had the BEST fashion idea: making sweat pants look like jeans…he should have got on that! Personally, I think Alexander Wang did the “comfort clothes” best:

Let me know!
