Julianne Moore will be featured in V Magazine this coming January, receiving press for her upcoming movie, A Single Man (starring Colin Firth). This photo has been released early to give us a glimpse into the 1960s inspired spread four of the movie’s stars will appear in, and so far I’m loving it. Julianne looks incredibly classy in what appears to be a black sheath dress and bronze earrings that highlight her copper hair beautifully. I’ve tried to maintain the retro feel here with classic pumps in a shocking blue color, gold disc earrings, and a boat neck dress. I paired it with UO’s velvet 3/4 sleeved cardigan to give it a rich look.
The great thing about this basic black dress is how by adding different accessories, shoes, and outwear, you can have many various looks. Pair it with a great belt or textured hosiery to toughen it up, wrap a silk scarf around your shoulders for a romantic feel, or pair it with a great pair of sequined pumps for a New Years Eve celebration!
