Featured Celeb: Blame it on Coachella

Every year I tell myself I’m going to make the six hour trek down south and go to Coachella. And every year it comes and goes with me not present. One of these days I will make the effort to be there, even if I’m one of those amazingly awesome 60 year old women braving it in a desert tent.

Despite not being there, pictures from this year’s Coachella are bringing out my inner flower child. It’s all about crop tops, relaxed denim, lace, leather and rock and roll tees. That’s why today’s dress for less is inspired by Kate Bosworth, one of the few celebrity queens who successfully dressed her way through the festival.

I love this outfit as an easy, summertime look. Bring out your chic hippy with braided jewelry, distressed denim, and crop tops (but don’t show off too much tummy by layer it like Kate did, or with high-waisted pieces to avoid looking trashy).
